πŸ“–Guidelines

Guidelines/Info

  • Body Cameras: The only time a β€œBody Camera” (clips) is to be used in character is if you are using either the phone camera app, or the camera prop. They must be recorded in first person to be used in roleplay. Police may use the body camera clothing item, however the same first person rule applies.

  • Character: Your character must be human. Should you character go a route including some supernatural behavior, participants must be in agreement, but not forced on other players. Your character should not have traits that make you more powerful that others. Your character must be able to communicate, having a secondary language is fine, but when communicating you need to communicate through primarily English.

  • Cops: If you have a cop character, you may not get involved in an investigation that may affect your criminal/civ/gang character in any way.

  • Corruption: Corruption of a government employee (PD, EMS, Judge, etc) is only permitted when approved by admins. If you wish to make a corrupted character, you must have a well thought out plan for this character's storyline and create-a-ticket to seek approval.

  • Discords: If you created another discord for either a business, gang or anything else that is server related, you MUST not metagame in them.

  • Fire-starting: Do not post things in OOC places that will intentionally start arguments or hostility towards or between other community members. We want a positive environment. If you have an issue that needs admin intervention, open a ticket not general chat in discord.

  • Griefing: You can not tell someone that you will "sell them your car" and take their money and run.

  • Low Quality Roleplay - "LQRP": Is when you don't put effort into your roleplay or engagement in RP scenarios. These scenarios are often seen in actions driven by boredom, character inconsistency, and illogical plot choices. Most of the time this looks like minimal investment in a storyline and/or shallow interactions lacking depth/coherence. You should always keep in mind your character's storyline and traits and go without disrupting immersion and collaborative storytelling.

  • Names: Please make a reasonable character name. Do not have political, celebrity or offensive names.

  • Old Names, New Stories: Regarding people you may be "familiar with". While we are all here to start anew, there may be characters you run into that you remember from other servers/cities; whether that be their names, looks etc. We are perfectly fine with you continuing some old storylines, however make sure you are not making this assumption about players who are not. That being said, some people are choosing to recall their old stories. Make sure you are not making these assumptions of people when you meet them. If you are unsure if you know this person from "old storylines" an easy way to tell is just ask them "hey, you seem familiar, have we met before?" If they say yes, by all means, reminisce about positive experiences. If they say no, just hit them with the "Oh I must be remembering someone else", and move on.

  • /OOC: Is local only to the people nearby. Do not use this to have full conversations. This is also not a place to mald about scenarios.

  • Permadeath: You decide when your character should fully die. If you choose for your character to die, you are to delete that character. A funeral can be made, but other than that, the character is gone. Your new character should NOT know anyone who your old character knew. No one can force you to permadeath. Confirm with EMS via /OOC that the death is a perma, unless you fully RP and /me out your injuries including words like "/me has no pulse" or "/me pulse is flatlined."

  • Selling cars: You are only able to sell cars you bought in game, with in game money to other players through the app.

  • Sounds: Do not use soundboards in-game to play loud obnoxious sounds, if they make sense for your roleplay, then they are fine. Do not play any music out loud in your car while driving. Music is only to be played within game mechanics, not through your microphone. (Some locations have boomboxes, DJ booths, etc.) A ticket can be made for events that request music. - Streamers are able to disable sounds to avoid copyright with /streamermode

  • Streaming: If you want to be listed in the @Live Now role, you must have your game set as Grand Theft Auto V, and have server name "Allusive RP" in your title. You must also be online, have your discord connected to twitch, and have your status show you are streaming.

  • Storyline: We should all be trying to build up character storylines, we do not want to just start robbing banks or kidnapping cops within our first 24 hours in a new city. Try to make friends and build connections.

  • Taking RP OOC/Going OOC: Do not take anything out of character. If someone has some "beef" with your character in-game, RP it out. Do not take RP scenarios into discord. If someone calls you names that are obviously rule-breaking - then report it. Along with that, do not bring OOC In Character; your character obviously does not know they are in a video game or know that there are admins.

  • Torture RP: Torture RP must be agreed upon by all parties before hand in /OOC chat. Do not torture someone for no roleplay reason. Do not use any type of defecation or urination as a torture method at all. Setting someone on fire as retaliation is not considered torture.

  • Using /report: The only time you should be using /report is if there is a hacker in the server, you are stuck somewhere, or something that requires admin assistance. Do NOT use /report to report another player for any reason. To report a player, you must create-a-ticket under "Player Report" and submit all information required.
