RP Etiquette Guide

Somethings are said in roleplay that are very borderline OOC. We have made a list of immersion breaking things and how they can be said differently to do better in correcting our roleplay terminology.

"Going in my head... Think about... Meditate... Tamagotchis..." - Referring to AFK / Background noise. Say you're going to the restroom and running to another room/area is the easiest way to break out of a scenario quickly if you need to go afk. If you cannot think of a creative way to pause roleplay from your end, use /ooc to let them know you're going AFK. - In the case of background noise, we're all adults here. We know some people have dogs, children, whatever the case is. You shouldn't have to acknowledge it in RP and just continue the scenario. We know you can't be in a quiet room 100% of the time, but if someone asks what that noise was you can just blame it on your "ringtone on your phone" or something.

"Use [x] Muscle..." - Referring to key binds. For this, simply use /ooc to explain something to someone if they're unsure how to do something.

"My cousin... my past life..." - Referring to other characters you play. You should NEVER refer to your other characters in roleplay. They will never/have never met each other and your character knows nothing about them. "Old city... county, etc." - Referring to another server. As much as we prefer you wouldn't mention old servers in our server, we understand it's appropriate to do so based on the current storyline. In this case, please use things like "where I'm from" or "back home" as it sounds more like you're referring to your character's history/backstory.

"Look through your eyes" - Referring to going into first person view. Everyone is looking through their eyes, better terminology would be "focus closely" or "put your glasses on and look closer".

"Use your 3rd eye" - Referring to using left alt. This could just be said as "use your hand", or using /ooc to explain.

"My head exploded" - Referring to a game crash. Just use /ooc to explain that someone's/your game crashed, then resume upon return.
